WHAT IS THE MMS PICTURE / VIDEO UPLOAD API?
The Picture/Video Upload API enables users to upload photos and videos directly to your website via their mobile phones. This API extends social networking , photo and video sharing communities to handheld devices – anywhere your members are and at any time. The API contains a built in moderation function that a site owner can enable if content should be verified before or after posting.
Each time enhancements or new features are released, they are filtered directly through to your site via the API you’ve already integrated. This includes connectivity information for new mobile phones and their related specifications. It also means you receive ongoing optimization and seamless functionality, regardless of the format of the picture or video sent or the phone that sends it.
WHERE DO PICTURES AND VIDEO SENT TO MY SITE END UP?
You decide! Your users will message their photos and videos to a dedicated email address from your domain. That message is automatically forwarded to Mobilize Central. We read, analyze and reformat the information so as to send it back to you through an XML file that you can use to distribute the content anywhere you like. This might be on a general, shared page (like a forum) or it might be on a user’s profile.
